Psychological Effects of Colour and Manipulation | Performative Writing | Claire's Masterclass

This was a little activity I done when I was attending Claire Potters masterclass. As I mentioned in my blog post about that class I was really nervous about doing something way out of my comfort zone but it had to be done and I was so happy I did!! I am so pleased with the outcomes and I believe this has a lot of potential if I was to carry it out more professionally. I know I explained it in my blogpost before but I will briefly explain again. I like looking into the psychological effects of many things in life but since I do art, I wanted this semester to be about colours. Sounds simple I know. However, I wanted to go beyond and challenge that. What if I was to manipulate it? To change it? There isn't much science behind our associations with emotions and colours. This activity challenged the brains thought processes and what happens when I inflict new meanings. I  personally feel like I should look further into this as I hold a great interest in it. It does hold a lot of potential and I do have ideas how to correlate it to my painting but for now I think I will continue to experimenting with these like animatics, photoshop and sound pieces. This has helped me develop my practise in a way I don't think a bit of paper and a pen would of been able to.
