My Practise | Writing

One of the things I realised from last semester how much I still love to write. I don't think I am particularly good at it but it is something I enjoy and I am not going to let that stop me! I don't claim to be Shakespeare but I would like to produce some piece. As of right now I don't know if it would be something short or long, fiction or nonfiction, I just don't know. All I know is I have this passion to write. Recently I have written a poem revolved around the dilemmas with mental health, more specifically depression. This is more a personal practise that maybe in the future I could incorporate into my work/ my main practises. However, I do not mind sharing them on here. I will paste the poem below. Review and Statement of my Work | Semester 1 | 2018

Like mentioned in my statement I have so many ideas I want to execute this upcoming semester. First off I want to finish my animation project that deals with colour perception/theory and ideally would like to show it to an audience at some point and gather feedback and see if it did make them question what we know or think. The main aim of the animation was to open up some minds. I like toying with people's emotions and perceptions via my work I find every individual response unique and says alot about the person. My audience participating and engaging in my work means alot to me. In shops today we see things such as paint by numbers or art therapy colouring books for adults and so on. I think it would be amazing if I could be the creator of a large one of these and displayed it in an exhibit or gallery space and got the audience to "colour in" my painting.  I also want to look further into consciousness and space.
